About Workplace Health Solutions 

Workplace Health Solutions is led by Emma Higgins, a CORU-registered Senior Occupational Therapist and Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator (FCE) with over eight years of experience supporting employee health, rehabilitation, and return-to-work outcomes across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Emma graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy and has developed specialist expertise in occupational health, workplace rehabilitation, mental health, and physical rehabilitation. She has completed advanced training in Functional Capacity Evaluation, Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), Motivational Interviewing and a Leadership & Management course through the University of British Columbia.

Throughout her career, Emma has worked within healthcare services and large organisational settings, managing employee rehabilitation programmes, coordinating complex return-to-work cases, facilitating medical accommodation planning, and supporting the implementation of workplace psychological health and wellbeing initiatives.

Emma has extensive experience collaborating with employees, managers, HR/LR professionals, occupational health providers, insurers, and healthcare teams to support employees returning to work following illness, injury, disability, or mental health challenges. Her approach is practical, evidence-based, and focused on achieving safe, sustainable outcomes that benefit both employees and organisations.

Through Workplace Health Solutions, Emma provides specialist services including Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), return-to-work assessments, workplace accommodation planning, case management, mental health return-to-work support, and neurodiversity workplace consultations.

Based in Dublin, Emma provides both in-person and virtual services to organisations and individuals nationwide.
